Rotating picture frames seem to be the rage now. They were popular many years ago but were quite expensive. Not so now. I gave as presents to our sons at Christmas and downloaded many photos for them. Planning to puchase one for myself, then on a trip to visit my sister – she gifted me with one. My sister-in-law saw mine and wanted one so her son purchased and I downloaded photos for her.

Photos change every few seconds and I enjoy watching long ago photos or more recent ones. You can even have videos displayed. Memories scroll by and catch my attention – many of new great grandson. I just stop and talk to him.
Also, pictures pop up on my phone or on Facebook. Many of my husband and I – who is that old person with the gray hair and slouching posture?
I’ve spent many hours preparing slide shows for family to enjoy these memories. I even sent off some tapes recently to have preserved digitally to put on a disk so family would view them on their smart TV. These were preserved several years ago on DVD’s. But who has a DVD player now? Well………….

This prompted me to watch some old home movies on my DVD player (which I purchased at a yard sale after discarding mine when moving two years ago). I don’t remember my husband n the last few years of his life bent over and so frail. I remember the strong, energetic, handsome young man in those 8-millimeter tapes.

Then I wondered – what if?
- When we get to heaven we will have instant recall of memories in our lives?
- We will be in the “prime of our life” age?
- We will sit around and reminisce of events?
- We will visit with old friends and family?
What age will we be in heaven– will we all be 33 years old? Some think this because that was the age of Jesus when he died. The Bible does not tell us if children who died at an early age will be 33 or if elderly who die will be that age. But we do have this promise:
1 John 3 :1-3
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known.
But we know that when Christ appears,[a] we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
At my age, seems like every week I hear of a friend or relative who has departed this life – many I know have the hope of heaven. I’m so grateful we can know we have this hope – and I believe that when we see Christ we will be like Him – it won’t matter then – how old we are or were!
I pray you have this hope!
